We started YANDO Cleaning with a simple belief: clients deserve a cleaning service they can rely on, and cleaners deserve a workplace that values professionalism, training and respect. That belief formed long before the business existed — during our time working in a local estate-management agency.


In that role, we constantly faced the same challenge: cleaning companies that promised low prices but delivered inconsistent results. Appointments were missed. Quality fluctuated from one visit to the next. Clients were left disappointed, and we were left having to resolve issues that should never have happened in the first place.


We soon realised this wasn’t just our experience — it was a pattern across the industry. Research shows:

  • 35% of clients say their top issue is inconsistent cleaning

  • Nearly 40% of those issues come from poor training

  • High turnover disrupts consistency

  • Poor communication, vague pricing and unreliable scheduling are widespread

We knew the industry needed a more professional, accountable approach. So we built one.

Our Name, Our Philosophy

“YANDO” started as a joke — “Y & O,” short for “Young and Old,” a playful reference to our age difference. But as the company took shape, the name evolved into a guiding principle. To us, YANDO represents the belief that no matter your age, background or experience, you can uphold high standards and take pride in your work.


We built our culture around that idea — and it continues to shape every part of our business.

When we launched YANDO, we made a conscious decision not to become just another budget cleaning provider. Instead, we prioritised:

  • Consistent, structured training

  • Clear communication and transparency

  • Professionalism in every interaction

  • Reliable scheduling and accountability

  • Regular quality checks to maintain standards

This wasn’t about reinventing cleaning — it was about doing it properly.

Since launching, we’ve grown from a small local start-up into a trusted cleaning provider with a wide portfolio across the East Midlands and beyond.

Today, we proudly:

  • Partner with some of Nottingham’s largest property-management agencies

  • Have cleaned over 2,000 rooms across residential, student and HMO properties

  • Service prestigious homes, including several within the Guy Phoenix portfolio

  • Deliver cleaning support to clients internationally across Europe

  • Provide commercial cleaning for organisations including Lincs/Notts Air Ambulance, Global HSE Group, Mosca International and Rapala VMC
